Laser Hair Removal

One of the most common cosmetic concerns today is unwanted facial and body hair.  At The Derm®, our highly trained practitioners use the latest laser technology to gently and effectively provide permanent hair reduction. This minimally invasive procedure reduces hair through a series of treatments while leaving the surrounding skin and tissue unharmed. After several treatments, patients can enjoy long-term hair reduction from nearly any area of their body. Laser hair removal may be done on any skin type but is most effective for people who have light skin and dark hair. Please consult with one of our laser technicians to see if laser hair removal is right for you.

Laser Acne Treatments

Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States. Fortunately, there are effective treatments including laser therapy.  These energy based treatments can shrink sebaceous glands, as well as target and destroy acne-causing bacteria on the face, chest, and back, which provides clearer skin.  After your face has cleared from acne, you can also treat scars resulting from acne outbreaks with our IPL device, microneedling treatments, or our fractional laser skin resurfacing.

Photo Facial

A photo facial uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat brown spots, sun damage, pigmented lesions, fine lines, rosacea (facial flushing), and facial vessels. After the pigment is targeted, it will later exfoliate leaving behind clearer, smoother, and younger looking skin. Photo facials help to even out your complexion while appearing to take years of age off your skin. This treatment may be used on all parts of the body but is most commonly used on the face, chest, hands, neck and back. Photo facials may also be combined with many of our other treatments such as dermaplaning, Laser Genesis, microneedling and microdermabrasion.  Your practitioner will be able to customize a treatment plan specifically for your needs.

Age Management Laser Treatments (Laser Genesis)

Laser Genesis uses a specific wavelength of light to apply deep dermal heating without damaging the surface of the skin.  Over the course of four to six treatments, Laser Genesis therapy can help restore your skin’s youthful glow and appearance by smoothing out uneven textures caused by aging and sun damage. Laser Genesis produces a healthier complexion by reducing the appearance of large pores and diminishing minor imperfections.  Laser Genesis is performed without the use of general or local anesthesia and requires no downtime. Many of our patients report excellent results over their entire faces and necks.  Each individual treatment reveals subtle changes with the overall effect of multiple treatments being quite dramatic! Laser Genesis may be used as a stand-alone treatment or combined with microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, and other laser services for enhanced effects.

Laser Skin Resurfacing for Wrinkles & Acne Scarring

The goal of fractional laser skin resurfacing is simple: to replace damaged skin with new, fresh skin. A series of non-ablative laser treatments provides for a non-surgical solution for wrinkles and acne scarring that requires no downtime while affording dramatic, long lasting results.  Fractional laser pulses treat damaged cells deep within the skin by selectively heating columns of tissue, leaving the surrounding skin intact. This treatment shortens healing time and stimulates new collagen, plumping the skin from below and reversing photo aging and other imperfections.  Treatment areas include the face, neck, and chest.  This procedure is in high demand for treatment of periorbital (eye) and perioral (mouth) wrinkles.  For enhanced results, fractional laser treatments are combined with Laser Genesis, as well as cosmetic fillers and/or neurotoxins.
