About Dr. Amy Brodsky
Over the past thirteen years, Dr. Amy Brodsky has earned a reputation as one of the country’s foremost rising stars in the dermatological field. Dr. Brodsky is widely recognized as an artist when it comes to understanding facial anatomy and the nuances of treating aging faces. Her cosmetic acumen and early adoption of skincare innovations quickly gained the attention of top media outlets in Chicago, which resulted in ongoing guest appearances on television networks like ABC, NBC, WGN, Fox and The U.
Dr. Brodsky has dedicated her career to the research and practice of innovative dermatologic treatments and the clinical implications of cosmetics. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in bioengineering, Dr. Brodsky attended medical school at The University of Chicago. She distinguished herself early on by winning the Women’s Dermatologic Society Fellowship to study clinical trials on Cosmeceuticals before graduating at the top of her class with the highest honors.
Dr. Brodsky earned her certification from the American Academy of Dermatology in 2002 and opened her own practice in 2007. She is currently affiliated with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Thanks to her widely recognized expertise, she has been invited onto several pharmaceutical advisory boards. In 2012, Dr. Brodsky founded Pediatric Sun Protection Foundation, Inc. (PSPF), a philanthropic endeavor born out of her passion for skin cancer prevention and desire to educate others about effective sun protection for children. Dr. Brodsky, a mother of two, is based in Chicago.
About Dr. Jessica Borowicz
Award-winning board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jessica Borowicz’s impressive career speaks to her passion for skincare and dedication to excellence. Through her early years as a figure skater, Dr. Borowicz gained experience with the art and creativity of the human body through athleticism. Now, as a dermatologist, she focuses on a natural approach to aesthetics, utilizing her understanding of facial anatomy and the aging process to enhance appearances. She takes pride in making each patient look and feel better through personalized medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures.
After graduating with high honors from Michigan State University and earning her doctorate from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Borowicz completed a residency in Dermatology at Largo Medical Center/Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Florida where she served as Co-Chief Resident. Her impressive resume includes multiple awards, published works in medical journals, and lectures at national conferences. Additionally, she frequently consults for the pharmaceutical industry where she shares her expertise with her peers in the industry.
Dr. Borowicz is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology, holding memberships in the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Osteopathic Association. She has staff privileges at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Continually, she volunteers with local high school Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) programs, provides free skin cancer screenings, and offers dermatologic and aesthetic talks to the community.
About Dr. Joshua Tepper
Dr. Tepper is a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist and fellowship trained Interventional Radiologist. He specializes in minimally invasive vascular procedures with a passion for lower extremity venous interventions including varicose vein ablation. He is proficient in a multitude of other procedures including uterine fibroid embolization, chemoembolization, dialysis intervention, and kyphoplasty.
Dr. Tepper earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where he also trained as a General Surgery Intern. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
He has been on the medical staff at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet since July 2010. He is a member of the Internal Review Board (IRB), Cancer Committee, and is Director of the Vein Clinic. He is the principal investigator at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center for the EVOLVE research trial on kyphoplasty.
About Laura Guyman PA-C
Laura Guyman is a board-certified physician assistant who joined Brodsky Dermatology in October 2015. She graduated first in her class from Northwestern University with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2015. Previously, she completed a MS in Nutritional Sciences from University of Washington in 2007 and a BA in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley in 2003. Prior to PA school, Laura worked in research and as a clinical dietitian.
Laura is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Laura brings a unique enthusiasm and warmth to her work. She enjoys getting to know her patients well and identifying what is important to them so that she can efficiently and accurately meet their needs. Laura loves practicing dermatology because of its direct impact on patient satisfaction and well-being, and she is particularly passionate about patient education and preventive medicine.
Laura is originally from the Seattle area and loves living in the Midwest. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband Dave and dog Winston.
